[Colour her endlessly confused by honorifics. Yosuke used both, so she hasn't got a clue which is more appropriate here.]
It's Bliss - Bliss-san - the one Hanamura told you about. He said you'd be able to make me glasses, and I have to tell you right away that I don't know my prescription or anything, but even trying would be so cool of you. It's not an emergency or anything, I've got some solution to stretch my contacts a few more days... so it's kind of an emergency, but not the 'right away now' kind.
[Stop the fluster and get to the point, Bliss.]
Anyway. Just let me know what I need to do to make it happen and I'll do it. I'll pay you for them, too, when I've got a job. This really is awesome, thank you.
Oh, hey! Yeah, he said you'd call me sometime... I can definitely give it a shot. I might have to give it a coupla goes to get them the right strength, but I should be able to make 'em for ya. Just tell me what you're gonna need.
[He pauses for a moment.] An', uh, don't worry about the honorifics. I appreciate ya trying, seriously, but ... I mean, we ain't talking in Japanese here.
[Wow. Okay, now she kind of understands Yosuke's warning - he's not scary, exactly, but not what she pictured from the description of stuffed animals and kittens. She actually thinks he's pretty cool looking, like a rock star.]
That is incredible, thank you. I just need to be able to see, don't worry about fashion or anything like that... do you need measurements of my face or anything? I can do that, somehow...
[There's actually a visible sag of relief when he lets her off the hook on the honorifics.] Sorry. I got it wrong, didn't I? He made a big deal of using one with me, asking if it was okay and everything, so I thought - anyway. You can call me whatever you want, but I'll stick with Kanji if that's really okay.
It ain't gonna be any harder for me to do a pair you like than ones ya don't. Yeah, measurements, and [he thinks for a moment-] hm, how strong they've gotta be. Gimme an idea. Like, how far ya can see clearly, that sorta thing... the more details I've got, the better with this stuff.
And... uh. Not exactly wrong, but ya ...don't really go calling yourself 'san'. That's what other people do. Just Kanji's fine with me, if you don't mind just Bliss... [Most informal guy ever, here, and especially when it's a foreigner asking. No point getting fussy.]
Well, I like plastic frames - my last ones were brown, light brown, kind of clear. Just rectangular, rounded corners, you know the style. [She actually pauses for a moment, trying to think how to describe her eyesight, then makes a quick decision.] I'll get back to you on the rest when I've got my face measured. I'll have to to talk to the optometrist here about more contacts soon enough anyway, maybe I can even score a free eye exam like at the mall stores.
[She laughs good-naturedly at her mistake, although her cheeks do go a bit pink.] Right, that makes sense. Yeah, just Bliss works fine.
Yeah, that works. Just lemme know, okay? I don't exactly know what all those numbers the docs talk about actually mean... but I'll work it out for ya somehow.
I - you don't even know how much I appreciate this. I can't make things out of paper, but if you ever need someone superhumanly strong for anything, you know who to call first.
